Wardrop Brings His Whimsical Charm to the Southern Museum

William Wardrop, the artistic genius behind the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History's latest exhibit “William Wardrop Creations: Man's Imagination & Machines,” will be at the Museum providing tours and answering questions on May 29 and 30.

Wardrop will be at the Museum for interviews and tours during regular business hours both days in May. The exhibit will remain open until July 5.

A Smithsonian Institution affiliate, the Southern Museum features collections of rare Civil War weapons, uniforms, and other personal items; an exciting exhibit about The Great Locomotive Chase, including a short movie and the General locomotive; and a full-scale replica of a locomotive factory that helped rebuild the South after the war. Make plans to now to visit our William Wardrop exhibit, Man's Imagination and Machines, before its closing date on July 5.
